Candace Kaller, Fine Art Dealer and Consultant

Candace graduated from Harvard University with a degree in East Asian Studies and a life-long passion for art. She owned and managed the San Francisco branch of the Galerie de Tours before returning to the Washington DC area, where she became a docent at the National Museum for Women in the Arts. This position led to a ten-year commitment to museum education as a docent at the National Gallery of Art, including participation in the nationally-renowned repeat visit program "Art Around the Corner" for inner-city Washington students.

In 2005 Candace founded Kaller Fine Arts as a vehicle for promoting exciting contemporary artists to businesses and art connoisseurs in the Washington area. She has traveled extensively in search of dynamic, affordable art, particularly in Argentina. She is the exclusive U.S. representative for Argentine photographer Diego Ortiz Mugica and painters Gabriela Cassano and Hencer Molina. Her areas of particular interest are surface texture, innovative materials, and the intersection of abstraction and representation. Candace's museum education experience has made her particularly suited to helping clients new to the art scene feel comfortable beginning a lifelong dialogue with art and art collecting.

Kaller Fine Arts represents a modern approach to the art market by providing both consulting services to prospective clients who may be looking for art that is not part of her inventory, and serving as a marketing venue for selected artists, without operating a traditional commercial gallery space. She has sponsored shows exhibiting her artists' work at the Argentine Consulate in New York, the Affordable Art Fair New York, the American Institute of Architects, Washington D.C., the Washington Design Center, and most recently at the Assilah Arts Festival in Morocco.
