Mary Farmer

Mary Farmer is a native Californian, currently residing in Asheville, North Carolina. She works primarily in encaustic, drawn by the depth achieved by applying numerous layers of molten wax, combined with other materials such as watercolor, graphite, handmade paper, raw pigment, pastel and oil stick. Her work evokes a sense of tactile vibrance that makes touching it hard to resist. Mary's work has been featured in numerous group and solo gallery shows, and is featured in Embracing Encaustic by Linda Womack, American Art Collector and Atlanta Citymag.
